In July, 2020, the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry developed a Temporary COVID-19 Standard for businesses with 11 or more employees.  They gave businesses 30 days to develop, educate employees, and create their policy to meet this standard.  In January, 2021 it became a PERMANENT Standard with multiple changes from the original and businesses have until March 26, 2021 to develop, educate and create a policy to meet this standard.  The biggest change is that this will apply to ALL EMPLOYERS, no matter the number of employees! 

I am attaching the new standard for your information and have a copy of the template for this standard I can forward to you if you need one.  I have been against this since so many of you already have so many standards and policies you have to meet to just have your businesses and since you already have to meet state, federal, OSHA and CDC requirements along with any specialty regulations, I question the need for more, especially during these trying times.
